Art in the Bottle

Infinity is the only one of the four paintings that was finished by Jacob Raines, the first Dubost winemaker. A gift to Curt, his stepfather, it is inscribed with,

“Remembering where we’ve come from and where we are going.”

Love always, Jacob.

The 1955 Ford truck was one of Ray Dubost’s “fleet” of old vehicles. Jacob drove it for a while, and this painting depicts that truck on Old Creek Road with Whale Rock Reservoir and the ocean in the background.

A white Rhône blend from the Dubost Vineyard, Adelaida district, we named the wine Infinity. The view across the reservoir into the ocean makes us think of an infinity pool.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Pale, light straw in color. Honeysuckle, magnolia, peach, honey comb, and apricot on the nose. Bright acid is followed by a soft subtle finish.
Vineyard Notes
"The block of Dubost vineyard that is solely responsible for this blend was planted by my brother, Jacob, and cared for by my brother, Zachary. I have worked for many long days and sleepless nights alongside each of these beautiful humans. Although I have not put in the years that they have, I feel blessed to have the experience of witnessing my siblings hone their craft. The smiles, the hugs, the tears and ALL the lost time that comes with chasing your dreams, in the end is worth it for we all can share and connect with a love that is as endless as it is INFINITE." - Lucas Raines
Production Notes
Co-fermented and aged 9 months tin a singe neutral oak barrel. Filtered before bottling.
Food Pairing Notes
We enjoyed pairing this wine with rich cheeses and Kate's dried fruit roll. Creamy dishes would fit well with the wine's acidity, as well. Remember it likes to be chilled!
