2019 Auguste

2019 Auguste

This bottling of Auguste encapsulates the conglomeration of 3 handpicked extreme vineyard sites in the Adelaida District west of Paso Robles. Glenrose, La Vista, and Mcgourty. They meet the criteria of being extreme vineyard sites for their high and steep elevation cut into rocky terrain and producing low quantity yet high quality fruit of depth, concentration and balance. Apropos for a wine named in honor of one of settlers and major contributors of this area called Adelaida. These areas are all very well suited for the varietals that make up this coveted blend known as GSM. Predominately Syrah and Mourvèdre it shows meatiness and dark fruit with lots of rich oak coupled with Grenache to accentuate acid and fragrance on the nose. Aged 18 months in 75% new French oak sur lees.
